2020 Patterns
Please fill out the form below by the end of the week (July 3rd) to accept a pattern-testing position.
Congratulations pattern testers! I’m excited to begin working with you, and I can’t wait to see the quilts you come up with. I am working hard on the patterns and sewing my own samples, but I wanted to let you choose the pattern you’d like to work on. Designs and due dates are listed below (in order of release), so have a peek and then please fill out the form with your top two choices. I’d like to have an equal number of testers for each pattern, so depending on interest, you may get your second choice, but I will do my best to match you with your favorite. Colors and fabrics will be up to you, but once we start to break out into groups, we can brainstorm if you’d like recommendations.
After reviewing the compensation survey y’all filled out, I’ve put together a few options, including a pay-it-forward option. (However, this is a judgement-free zone, so please choose what you want!) Compensation reflects the approximate cost of materials to make the crib size of each quilt top — however, if you’d like to make a larger version of the quilts, each pattern will come in multiple sizes, and you can choose whichever size you’d like.
Pattern testing goals:
Sew up a gorgeous sample reflecting your own style and taste
Take lovely photos that we can share together for the pattern release
Provide any feedback on ways I can improve the pattern
Get to know each other and have fun sewing together :)

P.S. I have been thinking a great deal about inclusivity, and have also been inspired by the beautiful spectrum of skin-tone colors popping up in graphic design lately. My color palette for some time has been trending toward whites, beiges and pinks, and with this collection, I wanted to intentionally curate a more inclusive color palette while remaining true to my neutral style. While this pattern series is not specifically focused on justice or activism (and colors in the final quilts will vary), I am strongly committed to providing a safe and welcoming space and will be considering ways that my platform can help provide safety, comfort, and joy for makers of color. I am always open to thoughtful conversations, and for my part, I promise to always put kindness first. I ask that you please do the same in our interactions as a community :)
